Trellis I Tripod

Lab Coat 02:31
They call the lab coats in. Pinholes in the curtain. Cavernous vaults shut. The analyst slips. Inhabitants get locked. It is a trap. I read the book six times, I memorized each line. Too much disease. His hands commit sick crimes. They build the trap. Why do the humans build the trap? Why do they walk into the trap? You put your glasses on. And you see through walls. With the pinholes gone. It’s still a trap.
2.
Wires, and circuits, crawl spaces, they live. Floorboards and nails, the crossbeams, astounding. Head pounding the edges, they’re darker, they hide. Dream on, chopping block. You're the only evidence. They wouldn't let you go, not in this instance. Are you a detective, or are you useless? Why don't you leave the scene. The scratches, the incline, the outlets, the corner. The field, the smokestack, the elbow, it's drying. The concrete, the dampness, the stapler, it binds. You couldn't pick the lock. You'll tunnel under. But we’ll just watch you go, we'll stand and wonder. Are you a detective, or are you useless? And now you leave the scene.

Circuit breakers peel the skin - like dried paint where things are kept below ground. Dehydrated in sound minds. The dust settles on discarded metals, as busted clocks unwind backwards in time. Machines turn, and desolate bodies yearn for something, like a doll with its head cracked open wide, and nothing inside.
5.
In the year of the tensions, we were forced to ask for extensions into the third quarter, and thereafter breach the border and reach for safety behind the blocks and the mortar. Somewhat taller than average, these hard rocks won't melt on the lava gauge.
